Ongoing collaborative efforts are working to secure a sustainable future for one of the world’s most productive, biodiverse ocean regions – the Northern Mozambique Channel.

Over the past two years, WWF and the Nairobi Convention have supported the governments of Mozambique, Tanzania, Comoros, Seychelles and Madagascar in establishing a shared vision for a sustainable future for the NMC, as well as a roadmap to realize this vision. Developed under the NoCaMo initiative, the draft vision and roadmap are accompanied by technical guidelines to ensure that countries will be able to turn policy into action.
